A lifelong journey of deepening connections

Faith formation is the Holy Spirit’s way of inviting people to grow as disciples of Jesus, loving God and loving our neighbors.

The Nebraska Synod’s focus on faith formation is lived out through supporting and connecting congregations and other ministries in their work of growing disciples. This support and connection happen when people of all ages gather for synod-wide and ELCA youth ministry events, workshops for adult ministry leaders, networking opportunities for children and family ministers and more. Faith formation resource people are also available to support and connect individual congregations and other ministries when the desire arises to reshape, renew or reimagine their faith formation efforts. While the church needs to remind all ages of the unchanging nature of God’s love and grace, faith formation offerings need to reflect the ever-changing lives and needs of all people.
