Entering the Threshold with Julian of Norwich

One Topic ZOOM call for Seeking the Spirit Within

The English mystic, Julian of Norwich lived in the late 14th/early 15th century – a time of social, political and ecclesial turmoil. As she lay near death, she received a series of revelations that were subsequently captured in two texts, known as “Revelations of Divine Love.” This classic of medieval religious literature, and the first known work authored by a woman in the English vernacular, is replete with theological insights. In Julian’s work we see mystical experience, religious understandings and dialectical reasoning in conversation and tension with one another.

You are invited to enter Julian’s world, mind and heart, as fellow seekers who have a holy discontent with easy answers. How may Julian’s voice speak to us from across the ages?
