Educational Resources and Opportunities for Engagement
Over the past several years, R.A.R.E. has created and disseminated numerous resources aimed at education and engagement. The following are some highlights:

Let’s Talk about Racism Zoom Series – topics include Mass Incarceration and Criminalization, Words 101, What Is Institutionalized Racism?, Where Are You Now in Your Anti-Racism Efforts?, Racism and the Church, and an Introduction to Critical Race Theory

  • A Time for Burning Film Study
  • The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together by Heather McGhee – a 4-week online discussion group
  • 1619 Podcast Series – a 5-week online discussion group
  • “We All Have a Story” Workshop Series, based on the parable of the vineyard workers and presented at the 2019 Synod Roadshow Events, the 2019 Synod Assembly and a Women of the ELCA retreat.
  • NEW in 2024: Let’s Talk Native American History and Culture-A series of zoom workshops on Native American Land dispossession and relocation and it’s long-term consequences and impact.
