We’re joining hands with ROAD (Recovering Oklahoma After Disaster), dedicating our time during the week of March 11-15th to help rebuild lives disrupted by disaster. Our stay will be at a church, and we’ll need to bring along air mattresses or cots. Please wait for a detailed list of required items once you have registered. The costs for this trip will be a donation to the host church plus covering the food and travel expenses for the week. Being at the church grants us the flexibility to work in various locations, reducing the commute between our lodging and the worksite. We’ll plan on having breakfast prepared at the church, homemade sack lunches, and either a warm dinner cooked at the church or a visit to a local eatery. Oklahoma is a state with numerous areas in need, and although we can’t predict exactly where we’ll be stationed or the specific tasks we’ll undertake, we know we’ll be mending homes affected by tornadoes. A trailer of tools will be provided for us.
