Deacons, Pastors, and Parish Ministry Associates of the Nebraska Synod are invited to any of the five Chrism Mass services throughout the territory of the Synod during the month of March. A Chrism Mass is a service traditionally held sometime during the Lenten season for those who serve the church as ministers.
During this service, ministers receive oil which may be used for anointing in the coming year (the “chrism” to which the service’s name refers) and renew their vows in the presence of God and each other. This year, the Chrism Mass schedule is as follows:
Register for March 10 – Holy Trinity, Sidney (MT)
Register for March 11 – Family of Christ, Kearney (CT)
Register for March 12 – St. Mark’s, Bloomfield (CT)
Register for March 13 – St. Andrews, Lincoln (CT)
Register for March 17 – St. John’s, Bennington (CT)
All services will begin at 10:30 AM in the host congregation. Lunch will follow. If you are a pastor, deacon or PMA, please register at least one week prior so our host congregations can be ready to welcome you!
