Announcing Lisa Kramme’s Staff Transition

Lisa Kramme has served as the Director for Faith Formation for the Nebraska Synod since July of 2008. Lisa was encouraged to have conversations with people across the state to learn what folks may need in the area of faith formation and she has listened ever since. Throughout her time on staff, Lisa has coordinated synod-wide youth events including Lutheran Youth of Nebraska (LYON) Assemblies, Middle School Gatherings, Journey service trips, and more. Lisa has also worked with multiple projects to encourage cross-generational ministry, coordinated intentional young adult engagement, curated faith formation content for congregations and communities across the state, and so much more.

Lisa recognizes the valuable work of the many volunteers she has had the opportunity to partner with over the years and notes, “Those volunteers who have accompanied me in this work helped plan gatherings for Sunday School teachers, high school and middle school youth, those who feel a call to ministry, people interested in young adult ministry and those wondering how to better connect people of all ages in their settings.” Lisa goes on to share that she has “felt like I’ve had a front-row seat to watch the Holy Spirit at work and I wish I could share all the ways I have been inspired by those who have shared their stories with me.”

When asked about this time of transition, Lisa shared, “As Lutherans we talk about vocation, or God’s call in our lives. At this time, I feel that God is calling me into the mystery of what may be next. I’ll take a bit of time to rest, and toward the end of October we’ll welcome a new grandchild into our family. While I don’t know exactly yet what God’s call will be for me related to employment, I do know I will remain very grateful for all that I’ve been able to learn, do and be inspired by through this amazing work, and I will be forever grateful for the people who have shared this journey with me.”

For all the many ways she has so faithfully and capably served for the past 14 years, the Nebraska Synod says, “Thank you, Lisa and Godspeed!”
