Imagining A Cross-Generational Model of Ministry

Location: Ruby 6 (Saturday – 3:15 PM or 5:15 PM)

In today’s American society, a faith community is often the only institution that has the opportunity to consistently gather all seven living generations into one space and time. But when the elder and child enter most churches, they are whisked away to different rooms. Congregations have a vast, untapped potential for bringing the generations together to accompany one another through life’s milestones, challenges, celebrations, and the mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. In this Cross+Generational Ministry workshop, we will explore what Cross+Generational Ministry is, what it is not, and how a congregation can look for ways to implement this ministry into the life of their congregational community.
