Attention Nebraska Synod High School youth!!!!
Are you a leader? Do you WANT to be a leader? How can you be a faithful leader in daily life? What does faithful leadership look like?
Join us November 22-24 at Covenant Cedars Camp in Hordville, NE for a weekend “leadership lab” where we will explore these questions and more! Throughout the weekend, we will hear “shining stories” from youth and adults in Nebraska who have felt the call to faithfully use their leadership skills and share the gifts God has given them in daily life. Together, we will explore how lesser known Bible characters used their leadership skills in surprising ways. Through interactive team building activities (our leadership lab), we’ll explore our own leadership styles. We’ll have time to practice using (and sharing) our gifts and leadership skills and talk about how we can take them forth, and of course we will worship, fellowship and have fun together!
As a part of the Leadership Lab experience, all youth will have the opportunity to share their gifts and help with worship leadership during the weekend in one way or another from singing to praying to helping with administration or hospitality. However, Musical leadership requires a bit of pre-planning. If you have youth in your group that have a musical gift or talent (vocal or instrumental) and they are planning to attend, Simone Weber, our youth music team leader would like to know about it by October 10th. Please email Gretchen with your name, congregation, their name, contact info (email and phone number) and their gift and Simone will be in touch with further info .
***Note: One of our Shining stories will come from Simone Weber as she she shares how she and her husband felt called to use their leadership gifts to start Table Grace Ministries. Simone will also lead our youth music team for the weekend. We invite you to bring offering for our Sunday worship to give to Table Grace Ministries.
