There has been a shift in our work in Slidell. We will not be working with Habitat for Humanity. We will be working through Peace Lutheran Church. Much of our work will be on the church, which has suffered damage from hurricanes, the last being Ida. Repairs to the roof is on the list, along with painting, replacing floor boards, siding a shed , taking down a shed, ect.. There also is the opportunity to work at Laura’s Closet, a ministry of the church, which is a store of previously used items. If you know of persons who would like the mission trip experience but aren’t physically able to work on a construction site, this would be a wonderful opportunity for them. Needed tools would be hammers and your own personal tools. Saws and larger items will be provided. Paint brushes and some paint pans will also be needed. The change is a wonderful God story which you will hear on the trip.
