Stewardship Broken Open!
You are a steward! In fact, every beloved Child of God is a steward. We’re stewards of all that God
entrusts. This is and always has been true. But we also need to acknowledge that we are being
broken open in so many ways in life and ministry during these days.
That might sound intimidating or scary but being broken open isn’t all bad. Perhaps God is inviting us to do something new, or at least to see somethings a bit differently. Starting with the premise that the psalmist makes in Psalm 24, “The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it,” Deacon Timothy Siburg will guide us into imagining and re-imagining stewardship for this new day. Over the course of four sessions, we’ll explore:
- Why does stewardship need to be broken open?
- What story or stories is God inviting us to be a part of?
- What are new ways that we might be invited to take faithful steps as stewards of God’s love?
- Who might we invite to join us in this work?
Deacon Timothy will not be leading this series alone. He is inviting some of his wise and wonderful
stewardship friends from across the larger church to join us and share their insights, questions, and
ideas with us too.
Together through conversation, presentation, the sharing of resources, and plenty of time for your
questions, we’ll discover, explore, and walk away with new insights and some tangible plans for
stewardship in your congregational contexts for the year ahead.
Join us in this time of discovery and exploration together, by registering today!
It is highly encouraged to attend all four sessions. However, we know that life happens, so if you
might miss one session, know that all sessions will be recorded. There will also be some suggested
work to practice through between sessions to continue learning and exploring outside of each Zoom
session.
