Genesis to Revelation

From Genesis to Revelation: Reading the Whole Story of Scripture for Today’s Leaders

Across the arc of Scripture, from the creation story in Genesis to the apocalyptic visions of Revelation, this course will help you see the Bible as one connected narrative rather than a set of isolated stories. Together we will explore the Bible’s diverse genres, wrestle with challenging texts, and ask how they speak into the realities of ministry and leadership today.

Facilitator

Pr. Priscilla Hukki was called to Grace Lutheran Church in 2018. In 2019, Grace entered into a shared pastoral partnership with Trinity UMC/UCC, where she continues to serve as pastor in shared ministry. Ordained in October 2004, she has served congregations in Pennsylvania, North Dakota, and Maine before coming to Nebraska.

Raised in Maine as the youngest of seven children, Pr. Hukki comes from a family rooted in Virginia, Maine, and South Dakota. Her love of travel has taken her to 49 states, 16 countries (so far!), the District of Columbia, and all the counties in Nebraska. She attended high schools in three states, graduated from St. Monica’s High School in Santa Monica, CA, then earned:

  • B.A. in Theology – University of Dallas
  • M.Div. – Bangor Theological Seminary
  • STM in Lutheran Studies – Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia

Beyond ministry, she enjoys gardening, visiting thrift and antique stores, occasional cooking for a crowd, and reading. A highlight of 2025 was a six week sabbatical that included a 10,000+ mile road trip to Alaska. She describes being a pastor as a great joy and privilege, and the most interesting adventure of them all (so far!).

Who Should Attend

This course is especially valuable for:

  • Rostered ministers and PMAs seeking structured biblical study and continuing education
  • Lay leaders who teach, preach, or lead Bible studies in their congregations
  • Anyone who wants a deeper, big picture understanding of Scripture’s storyline and its relevance for contemporary life and ministry
