Meet Your 2022 Candidates for Bishop

Forty names were nominated from throughout the Nebraska Synod during the February 5 Cluster meeting. After prayer and discernment, 9 candidates have agreed to stand for election at the 2022 Nebraska Synod Assembly. All pre-identified candidates agreeing to stand for election have submitted biographical information, responded to a series of questions via video interview, and agreed to having a background check done.

Throughout the Synod Assembly, pre-identified candidates and those nominated from the floor will have opportunities to answer questions and address the assembly. Additionally, all candidates nominated from the floor will complete a biographical form to be shared with the assembly. Below are the 9 pre-identified candidates for the next Bishop of the Nebraska Synod (presented in alphabetical order).
