Ministering to People Who Are Grieving: 201 – EMMAUS, Winter 2023

Program Description

Rev. Dr. Don Eisenhauer is back to guide our learning as we continue to develop our skills and strengthen our work as disciples walking with people who are grieving. We are ministering to people who have lost jobs, experienced the death of a loved one, lost a friendship, said goodbye as part of the move to a new community and other loses. The 4-session course will help equip laity to partner with rostered leaders and PMAs so working together they can offer care and hope to individuals needing support. Participants will review the definition of grief, learn practical ways to minister to grieving people, explore providing  hope during grief and explore opportunities to provide help not hindering people. You are encouraged to have a team participate to support implementation in the congregation.

For those who participated in the earlier session, Dr. Eisenhauer will take us into new material. Ministering to People Who Are Grieving 101 is not required to participate in this learning opportunity.
