Show Your Passion
“We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.” -1 John 3:16
God showed His passion for humankind in becoming flesh and living among His people, even to the point of death for their sake. At the Nebraska Synod, we are working to share that love and grace through our ministries, with our neighbors across the state, the country, and the globe. But in order to continue this labor of love we need your support. Will you join Nebraska Synod staff, Synod Council, and rostered ministers across the state in giving a gift that supports your Nebraska Synod and its ministries? We also ask you to consider sharing your reasons for giving with others in your congregation and your community. Choosing to support Nebraska Synod ministries that speak to your heart and sharing that passion with others in the hopes of inspiring them to give to ministries they are passionate about will help to ensure that we are all spreading Christ’s love and grace.
Why Do You Give
"Our monthly contribution to the Nebraska Synod ensures that we are making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. The Nebraska Synod shares our vision of serving and supporting the missions and ministries of those who need to hear, see, and feel the love of God in their lives each and every day. Spreading God's love and hope to all corners of the world can make a greater impact collectively and serves a greater number of people than we could ever do individually. Together, we CAN and DO make a difference." -- Dennis and Janet Byars, Beatrice, NE
"Though I am no longer serving in the Nebraska Synod, I appreciate the active relationship you have with the Northern Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT.) I participated in the pastor exchange program. I was serving St. Mark's in St. Paul, NE and traded pulpits with Pastor John Njau who was serving at Tema Parish in 2015. My husband, Dave, and I wish to continue supporting their ministry there, and the Nebraska Synod makes this possible and convenient." --Pastor Carolyn and Deacon Dave Hellerich
"Whether it’s by making spiritual directors available through “Seeking the Spirit Within,” sponsoring accompaniment trips to the Holy Land and Tanzania, walking with Followers of Christ within prison walls or opening doors for outreach ministries across the state, the Nebraska Synod’s ministries connect us in powerful ways. I’m deeply grateful." --Barb Johnson Frank
"We support the Nebraska Synod because we see the important role it plays as a part of the bigger picture of the church. Ministries which would be impossible for a single congregation are made possible when congregations work together, facilitated through the synod.
Congregations are helped with the call process. Those discerning a call to ministry, as well as those in seminary, are aided by the candidacy committee. Pastors, Deacons and Parish Ministry Associates appreciate the personal leadership and support received from the Bishop and his staff, as well as support for their congregations". --Deacon Jean and Lee Johnson
