The Generosity Project & Cross+Generational Ministry Lab- Scottsbluff
The Generosity Project & Cross+Generational Ministry Lab is coming to Nebraska!
(Snow Date is March 21, 2020)
The Generosity Project is a cross+generational, household-focused approach to stewardship and discipleship. Its goals are to connect generations, create centers for the faith practice of generosity, and grow in God’s grace generation to generation. Together, leaders of faith communities, practitioners, adults, teenagers, and children—Children of God of all ages—will gather and share in activities and experiments together.
Congregations and leaders will walk away with ideas for cross+generational ministry and experiments to try back at home, as well as partner congregations to experiment with and share in the journey together. Part of what it means being a synod is that we walk together. And this experience is one such way that we do this as God’s people.
In order to experience the fullness of the day, it is hoped that congregations will send cross+generational teams to come and learn, experiment, and grow together. This might include: your pastor(s), your Sunday School teachers, your church council leaders, your recently retired volunteers, your long retired but active disciples, young families, college aged students, teenagers, and children. Really, anyone and everyone. Because each person comes with a unique story, perspective, and values that, when brought together, makes the conversation richer and the learning greater. Together, we will gain from the collective wisdom of the group.
