We Walk with You – Schedule a Visit or Conversation Today

Bishop Brian Maas and the whole Nebraska Synod staff are your partners in ministry. Together we are grateful and honored to be invited out to be with you and your congregation. As we enter into 2022, a new year, we do so with hope and a renewed sense of shared ministry together. Your synod staff partners are ready to walk with you in whatever ways they can, and as the year begins this is perfect time to put dates on the calendar.

The synod’s assistants to the bishop or mobility team- Pastors Juliet Focken, Jon Mapa, Megan Morrow, and Kristen Van Stee continue to walk with congregations through the call process, with questions about shared ministry, to be present with God’s people of the whole synod, and so much more. All four are happy to visit congregations as their schedule allows, and can come and preach, preside, and lead worship, as well as join congregational meetings as needed online or in-person.

The synod’s discipleship team- Lisa Kramme, Deacon Sunni Richardson and Deacon Timothy Siburg continue to walk with congregations through sharing resources, being conversation partners, and helping imagine what God might be up to and how to continue to grow disciples and equip God’s people for mission. All three are happy to visit congregations as their schedule allows, and can come and preach and lead worship, as well as join congregational meetings as needed online or in-person. Additionally, Director of Seeking the Spirit Within, Deacon Connie Stover, is willing to talk with congregations about spiritual direction and spiritual practices.

The synod’s administrative team- Angela Geier, Diane Harpster, Michele Herrick, Stephanie Lusienski, Pastor Carol Mapa, and Morgan Tranmer continue to walk with congregations working through paperwork, processes, with questions and conversations about partnerships and mission share, world hunger, companion synods, and parish ministry associates. The whole team are happy to help you, and members of the team are happy to visit congregations as their schedule allows to bring a word of greeting, occasionally preach, and join congregational meetings as needed online or in-person.

Schedules can book up fast, but your whole synod staff is happy to be present in your congregation and in conversation with you as it would be helpful. To reach out to any of the team and to see what calendar possibilities might exist, please reach out to each staff person directly. You can contact them through the synod website here.
